How To Grow

Sow the seeds directly into the ground from April to May. Alternatively, for earlier blooms, start the seeds indoors in individual pots (approximately 7.5cm in diameter) at a temperature of 20-25°C.

Ensure the soil is well-drained and choose a sunny location for the plants.

Sow the seeds thinly in well-cultivated soil, spacing them 45cm apart. Prepare the soil by raking it to a fine tilth. Expect germination to occur within 15-21 days.

Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out, leaving a spacing of 45cm between each plant.

If the plants are in exposed areas prone to wind, it is advisable to stake them to prevent damage.
